In the show dated August 1962 "Animals and Pants", at 28:10, Shep mentions 'Being in the Army for Keeps', which is the title of this broadcast. Possibly the same? [Pete] Confirmed by Gary Hines 8/13/15 "The Animal Pants show is in fact 8-21-62 Army for Keeps. The show about the Old Man losing his job at Bordons is 8-23-62." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ VINTAGE TV GUIDE - AUGUST 25, 1962 - LAWRENCE WELK (25 August 1962 was a Saturday the guide was for August 25 - 31, 1962) assuming this weeks TV Guide is accurate the date of the show had to be the second half of August either August 20th - 24th, or August 27th - September the 1st, 1962). Max here: since TV Guide dates the issues well in advance of release dates, if anything, the show date could be from the week earlier, not later - hence my strike-out above.
