Salute to Charles Kuralt Letter from fan - "What's the worst night you ever spent?" Spent in a hole with another guy - Both Soldiers Third guy comes in in dark - turns out to be 'chicken' colonel who had given the orders of no lights or flames. They lit his cigarette and he leaves. "You are failing Chemistry" Shep has to cram for a Chemistry test.

"Worst Night" - Al Holt Hello Jim, I have an audio tape of a Jean Shepherd radio show titled, "Jean Shepherd's Worst Night." I'd like to add it to the archives of his other shows. It's a cassette copy I made from a syndicated radio station tape back sometime in 1975 or 1976 the best I can recall. [Al Holt - 168 2014-08-29] the 'worst night' show was from 6-30-75 and the 'Rock Collector' was 7-7-75 [gary in california ]
