According to the April 27, 1962 New York Times in a column by Sam Zolotow ". . . Jean Shepherd and Hal Linden, will fill major roles in two impending revivals. "Brigadoon" and "Anything Goes," respectively." A month later in his May 24, 1962 column, Sam reports ". . .Jean Shepherd has resigned from the incoming revival of "Brigadoon." His role was taken over by Farley Granger."
