Although parts of the building are expected to be used this summer, the entire $1.4 million structure won't be opened until the start of the fall semester. The building includes a 600-seat auditorium which can be divided into three teaching areas, as well as classrooms for art-oriented courses. The building is part of a $3.5 million expansion program which is nearing completion The new buildings included a nursing arts hall, student center addition, and bookstore. The college has revealed plans for an $8 million expansion program which would nearly double the number of facilities to cope with an expected enrollment of 3,260 full-time students by 1980. Already on the drawing boards are plans for a $1.3 million administration building and renovation of present college offices in the learning resources center for library and faculty office use. The committee planning the celebration will meet at 1:40pm Thursday in the student center.
